A spin with Bicycle Film Festival

The 20th anniversary tour of Bicycle Film Festival is here in Edinburgh, July 16 - 25. Bicycle Film Festival has been celebrating bicycles through art, film, and music since 2001, and over the last two years has adapted to an online format internationally.

The physical BFF spanned the world in over 90 cities worldwide to an audience of over one million people. BFF Edinburgh #2 is online, presenting an all-new international selection of the most important short films from the BFF collection, in collaboration with the Edinburgh Festival of Cycling (that I helped set up in 2013).

I’ve watched this years’ festival projected onto my loungeroom wall, and love not only the diverse range of film-making styles, but also the fact there’s lots of women cycling, and films from around the world. From a female rickshaw driver in India trying to make ends meet, to the Rwanda Cycling team, to the first female BMX competition at a major sporting event, it truly will make you want to get out on your bike!

How does the virtual Bicycle Film Festival Edinburgh #2 work?

A ticket allows you to view the 90-minute short film festival all week, until Sunday July 25, streamed to your computer, tablet, or smart TV. I highly recommend the programme, and give it 5 stars.

Ticket prices are on a sliding scale, from USD$10 - USD$20, available online here.
